Introducing our Waterfront Staff

by on

Our waterfront is one of the most popular and beautiful spots on camp. We strive to teach campers water safety skills that will allow them to be confident, safe, and have fun in all aquatic environments. Lake Kanasatka offers great waterfront recreation for our campers, including swim lessons, boating, fishing, and an inflatable water park!  Campers who are at the waterfront not during swim lessons have the opportunity to experience our water Trampoline, the rocket, slide, and even inflatable rocking climbing wall. The waterfront is definitely full of adventure!

Our waterfront staff are Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard certified. We take safety as our number one priority, and all waterfront staff participate in ongoing training to keep their skills fresh. All campers at Quinebarge get Red Cross swim lessons taught by our talented staff. Lessons are offered for all levels – complete beginners to swim team stars, and everyone in between. These certification cards can be taken as proof to other Red Cross facilities as proof of your child’s swim level. Our swim lessons are overseen by Red Cross Water Safety Instructors (WSI). This certification is the gold standard and provides the most comprehensive training for swim instructors across the United States.

Our waterfront staff will be led by Dan, a former Quinebarge waterfront staff member from the UK  who intends on joining the Royal Air Force as an officer after camp. Rounding out our staff we have Anna, Veronika, and Panna  – all from Hungary, and Imogen, Katie, Phoebe and Macy all from the United Kingdom! All our waterfront love the water and cannot wait to meet your campers this summer.

All of us at Quinebarge are looking forward to a fun, safe and waterfront experience! Are you interested in what other activities we do at camp?
