The Best Traditional Summer Camp

Since its founding in 1936, Quinebarge has provided a unique and traditional summer camp experience to boys and girls, ages 6-16. Located on Lake Kanasatka in Moultonborough, NH, Quinebarge is often recognized as the best traditional summer camp in the region. We blend rich traditions with modern programming, offering a truly unique program that our campers, and their parents, love each year. 

It’s All About Fun

We ensure that campers have a blast by letting them do what they want. No, really – our activities and schedule are based on activities chosen by each camper for themselves. Campers choose their four daily activities each week, allowing them to explore everything we offer during their stay. With our approach to scheduling, we give campers ownership over their own experience, which in turn builds confidence and independence. In addition to their activities, campers have the option to sign up for daily hiking trips.

When we ask our campers what they love most about Quinebarge, the overwhelming answer is the relationships they build here. As an intentionally inclusive community, we not only welcome but embrace all campers, regardless of background, religion, race, gender expression, or anything else that may make them ‘different’. Our most important values are kindness and friendship. 

Our staff model these values and teach them by fostering friendships from day one. At the start of each session, each cabin starts with icebreakers and get-to-know-you games, and a “Cabin Covenant”, or set of community rules for their cabin. By working as a team, campers begin to form friendships from the start. Throughout each session, cabin excursions, camp-outs, special programs and other activities solidify those bonds, creating relationships that will last a lifetime.
