Everywhere you look at Quinebarge, you can see traces of the past, connecting generations of campers. From the earliest plaque in the Dining Hall, to Monkeytown, USA, and our Friendship Circle every night, the sense of our intentionally inclusive community and history reaches everyone.
Happy, Healthy, Positive
We strive to make each camper’s experience happy, healthy, and positive. This means that our campers have fun in a safe and positive environment. In addition to health and safety certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, or First Aid, our expert staff are trained to support campers’ emotional needs as well. With “Happy, Healthy, Positive,” as our credo, Quinebarge invites campers to be exactly who they are and who they want to be in a safe and supportive community that encourages campers to try new things. The staff and leadership team encourage kids of all ages to step outside their comfort zone and experience first hand learning alongside life long friends.
With seasoned directors, licensed nurses, and experienced senior and support staff – many of whom are parents – on site, we work as a team, making sure we take care of each and every one of our campers.
Friendship
Campers and staff at Quinebarge make everlasting friendships that will be treasured for years to come. There is a special magic that exists in the woods that only those who have experienced a summer on the shores of our pristine lake can attest to and once they have, they are changed forever. The songs, the silly costumes, the s’mores, the everlasting friends, and the memories are all quintessential parts of our summer experience. When alumni visit, even those who attended 60 or more years ago, they always speak of their camp friends, many of whom they are still in contact with.
With Quinebargers hailing from nearly every continent, friendships form between campers that they may never had met outside of camp. Through camp’s inclusive, approach campers come to understand and respect other cultures and the great diversity the world has to offer.
