Why Quinebarge is the best camp for boys in New Hampshire
The Best Camp for Boys in New Hampshire
Quinebarge is a traditional, coed overnight camp on the shores of pristine Lake Kanasatka in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Founded in 1936 as a boys camp, Quinebarge became coed in the 1970s and still holds many of the values and traditions of those early days. Our commitment to fun, friendship, and personal growth has many of our campers’ parents referring to Quinebarge as the best camp for boys in New Hampshire.
Why Coed?
While single-gender camps serve a great purpose, Quinebarge’s mission to help campers achieve personal growth is one that thrives in a coed setting. Just as in life, boys at Quinebarge interact with peers of all genders and all ages, helping them become more well-rounded socially.
While all of our activities, meals, and events are a mix of all of our campers, boys live in a single gender cabin, surrounded by other boys cabins. Within those cabins, counselors lead team building and get-to-know-you games from day 1, ensuring that cabinmates will quickly become close, forming friendships that will last a lifetime.
Fun for All
At Quinebarge, we use a structured elective approach to scheduling campers’ activities. Each week, every camper chooses their top picks to build their activity schedule. All week long, campers having fun while doing the activities they already love, or trying new things, with peers who share similar interests. By the end of the summer, each camper goes home a bit more confident, independent, and having built new skills while having the summer of their life.
