Meet our Adventure Staff!
With summer quickly approaching, we wanted to take the time to introduce our staff by program area to let our families and campers know the friendly faces that will be helping create the best summer yet! This week we would like to introduce our Adventure staff who will be challenging campers not only on our high and low adventure courses, but also our Ninja course!
During our staff orientation, called Traditions, all Adventure staff are safety trained on our Adventure Course. Training is facilitated by Wingspeed, an accredited member of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), whose training programs meet or exceed all industry standards. Wingspeed trainers work directly with Quinebarge staff to share knowledge and experience to provide a high quality program for campers. Not only must staff members know how to use program elements and equipment properly and safely, but they must know how to provide participants with a comprehensive and fun adventure experience that is unique to their needs and goals.
When our Adventure staff are not instructing in their area of expertise, they live, play, and learn with their assigned cabin group. During these times, the Adventure staff effectively serves in the role of Cabin Counselor, ensuring the campers’ physical and emotional well-being.
This year our Adventure staff contains: Toby, a Middlebury College sophomore who has previously worked for an overnight camp in Arizona; Agha from Azerbaijan, a finance major who will be going on to obtain his master’s degree in the United States; Carys from Hampshire (England!) who loves trying new food from different cultures; Emmet from Ireland who loves pancakes, but french toast comes a close second; and Will, a former Quinebarge camper from Massachusetts who is excited to return to camp to help campers unlock their true potential!
