The Best Camp for Girls in New Hampshire is Actually Coed

The Best Camp for Girls in New Hampshire

Quinebarge, founded in 1936, is a premiere, traditional sleepaway camp for boys and girls ages 6-16. With a commitment to the individual and over 200 5-star Google reviews, we’re often called the best camp for girls in New Hampshire. While we are a coed camp, our community that values kindness, fun, friendship, and personal growth is one in which girls thrive.

Why Coed?

We strongly believe in helping children achieve personal growth through their Camp experience. Because life is coed, we are too; our campers learn, grow, and build in a social environment that reflects the diversity of the world we live in. The end result? Girls (and boys!) who leave Quinebarge more confident, independent, and resilient than ever before.

One part of life at Quinebarge does harken back to our early days. Girls live in our Winnetaska Circle, honoring the sister camp with which Quinebarge merged in the 1970s – Camp Winnetaska. Each cabin consists of girls of a similar age, getting friendships off on the right foot.

Valuing Kindness and Friendship

Both in cabins and throughout camp life, we celebrate friendship and kindness. From the first day, in both cabins and throughout camp, our counselors facilitate bonding and friendship building. They lead icebreakers and other team building games, get to know campers as individuals, and even spearhead a bit of pre-approved mischief so campers feel a sense of belonging and connection from the beginning.
