How We Train

When you arrive at Quinebarge you will be greeted by new and old staff. We play a lot of get to know you games and icebreakers. These games make the adjustment process a lot easier. After that we dive head first into our Traditions staff training schedule where you will learn all about Quinebarge, how to be a successful counselor, and lead in effective way. All of these combined will make you the best counselor you can be.

What Activity Will You Lead ?

At Quinebarge we have a wide range of activities – swimming, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, sailing, arts and crafts, drama, ceramics, woodshop, nature, horseback riding, sports, and adventure (climbing wall and ropes course). Each counselor works mainly in their assigned activity area, though they may cover others as needed. When activities aren’t running, counselors are with their cabins of 6-10 campers, helping them have fun and form friendships they’ll remember forever.
