Premiere Summer Camps in New Hampshire – It’s All in the Details

Since 1936, Quinebarge has been among the premiere summer camps in New Hampshire, offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences to children ages 7-16. For us, being a premiere camp means paying attention to every detail. Whether it’s a request for a nervous first timer to bunk with a friend, or making sure that each camper attends the activities and trips they want, no detail is too small. Our 3:1 camper to staff ratio and decades of experience ensure that no camper slips through the cracks.

Providing What Campers Want…

We know that campers really want two things at camp: to have fun and make new friends. For us, fun is simple. Our personalized activity schedules make sure that campers are participating in activities that they enjoy or want to try. Choice activities also increase buy-in by giving campers ownership over their camp experience. With our approach to activity scheduling, campers are never stuck at activities that they don’t like, or that take them too far outside of their comfort zones.

Lifelong friendships are our bread and butter here at Quinebarge. Before campers arrive, we extensively train counselors in how to foster friendships and teach campers to make friends. We start each session with icebreakers and team building games to help campers start off on the right foot. Over the course of each session, every age group participates in bonding opportunities including group trips, campouts, and even a bit of (pre-approved) mischief. The end result lives up to the words of our Friendship Circle song, which we sing nightly: “Friendship is everlasting, here at Camp and later on…”

…And the Peace of Mind Families Need

Quinebarge is committed to being a safe and welcoming environment for all of our campers. To that effect, we maintain accreditation with the American Camp Association. ACA Accreditation is a voluntary auditing process, ensuring that we meet over 250 nationally recognized standards. These standards cover everything from aquatics to staff qualifications, vetting and training, and everything in between. For more information on ACA Accreditation, please visit the ACA website or see their infographic. Additionally, we maintain licensure by the State of New Hampshire and members of the New Hampshire Camp Directors’ Association.
